I'm so sick of injuries. I mean, crap, do you realize we were one more hit away from Randall Gay lining up at safety? I knew it was probably going to be one of those seasons, but that doesn't make it any less painful. So, in the spirit of denial, I'll be sticking my fingers in my ears and muttering "Not listening," until next Sunday. For now, enjoy my top five from the game.
1. I'm glad we saw them finally get after a green quarterback. I've seen them take it easy on those punks too many times. Still, after that mess of a first drive when he had steve smith calling time out, you'd think we could have shoved the rest of the game down his throat.
2. Sedrick Ellis played well. Does that make two games in a row for him? About damn time.
3. Lookie, lookie . . . we had a running game! Don't talk to me about Ivory's fumble. I'll eat that one in the name of a learning curve. Any more and he's toast. Kudos to Betts and Ivory this week.
4. I have a new favorite player . . . Jason Kyle. The freaking long snapper. It's a new low, people. Worse than when the season was so bad I fell in love with a punter.
5. Speaking of the punter, my vote is to just let Morstead kick everything. 'Cause gee, you know, we might actually need a roster spot for a freaking safety instead of carrying three freaking kickers. I know I'm supposed to spend this spot talking about how great Carney is and how glad we are to have him back because he's such a good guy. Screw that. Go be a good guy somewhere else and get me a safety.
High five!
ReplyDeleteThe dominance is almost back. Morstead's not having much more of this. Wait for it... wait for it...
You know I'm not a patient person. I've got about one more week left in me.
